Petit-tous Cafe

Renovation of a derelict dairy to make a cafe, which has become the best hang out spot in the Bellenden Road area. We invited Loraine Rutt to make the pavement map, built around a series of workshops with local children. On a series of guided walking tours, the children took casts of drain covers, signs, patterns that caught their eye, recording the traces of occupation. The casts were then made in to ceramic pieces with a lustrous glaze and were set into the pavement map.
